JSB Development is a full service real estate development company based in Valencia, California. Focused initially on commercial and industrial real estate, the firm has since expanded into the mixed-use and residential markets.  The firm was started in 2000 by James S. Backer. To date, the company has developed 43 buildings totaling 1.1 million square feet including several large office complexes within the Santa Clarita Valley - Tourney Place, Centre Pointe Business Park and RiverCourt.  Additionally, the Company has entitled several other projects totaling over 1,100 residential units and 1 million square feet of commercial floor area.

JSB Development's current focus is on the launch of Vista Canyon - a new transit-oriented, master-planned community  in Santa Clarita, California. The 185-acre mixed-used plan, which includes 1,100 residential units, 950,000 square feet of office and retail space and  a new Metrolink Station and Bus –Transfer Station, was approved for development by the City of Santa Clarita in 2011.
